Chinese Medicine

Revy is a licensed Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist.

She received her master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences in a little mountain town in British Columbia, where she logged over 3,000 hours of class time and 500+ clinic hours. She’s nationally board-certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and licensed by the state of North Carolina.

Her special interests within the field include Taoism, Chinese history/culture/philosophy, martial arts, the Mandarin language, & the psycho-emotional realm.

Revy is continually exploring how to be in right relationship with this ancient medical system which originated in a culture different from her own. As Chinese medicine is an immensely rich & vast system, Revy will continue to deepen her relationship to it for the rest of her life.

Chinese medicine is an ancient medical system that has evolved over thousands of years and is deeply rooted in restoring harmony to the body, mind, & spirit.

It’s a true holistic medicine, taking into account the entire ecosystem & context of a person. What this means is that sessions are never just a band-aid… we work together to actually address the root of issues. Working together will be more than “fixing” a “problem” but more restoring you to a state of health & harmony, which is your natural state.

My Approach

Working together is a collaboration. My job is to hold you in a safe, spacious container while we explore your goals & symptoms in a holistic context. I also give you tools to take your health into your own hands as much as you’d like to.

I employ multiple modalities of Chinese medicine as needed, including acupuncture, herbal remedies, cupping, moxibustion, dietary therapy, & qigong. If you’re not comfortable with being needled, there are plenty of other therapeutic methods.

  • Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles to stimulate specific points on the body. This treatment helps to alleviate pain, harmonize the mind & body, reduce stress, and improve overall health. Acupuncture has a HUGE scope. Get in touch to discuss how it can help you with specific concerns.

  • Custom herbal formulas are crafted to address specific health concerns & balance the body's systems. We’ll work together to create the right combination to support your unique constitution.

  • Have you ever seen perfect circles on someone’s back that look like bruises? This technique uses suction cups to create negative pressure on the skin, promoting blood flow and easing muscle tension. Cupping therapy can be beneficial for pain relief and enhancing recovery. It also feels amazing!

  • You may recognize this traditional Chinese medicine practice emerging on Youtube as a beauty fad. Gua Sha involves “scraping” the skin with a smooth tool (often made of jade) to improve circulation and relieve muscle tightness. It’s more targeted than cupping.

  • Nutrition is a key component in Chinese medicine, and one of the best ways you can take your health into your own hands. We’ll discuss personalized recommendations suited to your lifestyle which promote health, vitality, and balance in your life.

  • Lifestyle is a HUGE part of our health, and Chinese Medicine has so many practices & tips to live in a way that fosters harmony & wellness.

  • Qigong is a self-healing system of movement comprised of slow & gentle movements that harmonize the body & mind. Keep an eye on the Events calendar for FREE qigong offerings throughout the month. Qigong is very gentle & suitable for nearly everyone
